Hood’s House of Hoops (HHH), founded by Coach Jamil Hood Sr. in Albany, New York, is a powerful nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through the game of basketball—and beyond. With a deep commitment to youth development, HHH provides a safe, structured, and inspiring environment where over 450 children and teens each week gain access to mentorship, educational support, and life skills training.
 
Basketball is just the beginning. Through after-school programs, seasonal camps, community events, and literacy initiatives, HHH empowers youth to grow as leaders, build confidence, and make positive choices on and off the court. Coach Hood’s vision is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background—a belief that continues to drive HHH’s growing impact throughout the Capital Region.
