Founded in 1990, the Queens (NY) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has spent more than 35 years uplifting the Queens community through leadership, service, and outreach. Guided by our motto Training for Leadership, we remain dedicated to transforming lives and empowering future generations.
Service and Community Impact
Over the decades, the chapter has become a pillar of leadership and engagement in Queens. Our initiatives include:
- Annual Thanksgiving Day of Service – providing meals and support for families in need.
- Community Day Programs – fostering unity and delivering vital resources to residents.
- Adopt-a-Highway Projects – beautifying and maintaining local neighborhoods.
- Guide Right & Kappa League Mentorship – preparing young men for success through academic, character, and professional development.
- Collaborations with Local Partners – strengthening resources through work with the Queens Borough President’s Office and other community organizations.
In addition to our local outreach, the Queens Alumni Chapter proudly supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For more than three decades, we have invested in initiatives that uplift families in Queens; today, we extend that commitment globally by helping St. Jude find cures and provide hope for children battling cancer and life-threatening diseases.
